What a wonderful support system I have. I really do. I am very thankful. Any troubles seem a little lighter even just thinking about it.
“Maybe we should take a day and fall apart together. But, just one day. <3.” – TF
This weekend is going to be fantastic. I am leaving Friday morning which means I get to escape my 10hr 6 days a week work schedule 2 days early (BOOYAH). I will be bringing home fresh lobsters picked from the trap and cooked Thursday night for my family and as a bit of a late Father’s Day present. Cape Breton lobster is one of my new favorite foods. It is damn good. (Sry, you little ugly bastards!) Saturday night I am having a shared Birthday party with my friend and sorority sister Michelle and all our friends are coming up for it! Should be a blast. I get to see my best friends again. It’s been a while since we’ve all been in the same place at the same time and who knows how many times it will happen again as we continue to grow in our separate lives. Cherish the moment!
Sunday we are scheduled to go on a tube run down the nashwaak river where I plan on getting obscenely sun burned and in all likelihood plastered. Also will be my first time wearing my bathing suit outside this summer (summer doesn’t really exist in PH) and I am praying for sun sun sun.
The weekend was really wonderful. Friday night was a sort of a bust. Jordan me and Scott were playing board games, but then Jordan had to leave early and poo game night over. Saturday was better I invited all the girls over I have met in PH: Stacey, Amber and Amanda, and the four of us sat in my room drinking and talking and then forced Scott to drive us places. He was a good sport :) And still so very handsome. We had a good time driving around the girls in the back, he and myself up front. He’s also started teaching me to play video games. MLB 2006. He lets me ‘bat’ only. So far I have successfully hit 1 ball. I did good though, so he says. We made a delicious breakfast Sunday morning and laid around on the couch watching the movie Goodfellows in the afternoon. Then he had to work the night shift Sunday and he worked it last night as well which means I haven’t seen him for a bit. Sunday evening I was invited to see ‘Super 8’ with Amanda and her roommate Beth. It was pretty good. We ate Wendys and junkfood and shopped at Winners. I got this amazing footstool that matches my bedspread/room perfectly, some soap and a bookbag. Also the poor Winner’s cashier didn’t ring in my $30 bookbag, and I didn’t notice until we were 1hr30min away back in PH. Oh well, bonus!
Last night I got my arse kicked once again at the gym. Kevin has started making us do sprints and he says I’m pretty fast, which has to be one of the most hilarious things I’ve Ever heard. Tonight I have volleyball but it is also Scott’s first competitive baseball game (he tried out for the team a few weeks ago) and I would like to go cheer him on. (Also, seriously, my ass muscles hurt from yesterday. I don’t know how helpful I’d be on the court.) Jordan might come. Him and his gf just broke up Sunday night. Add that to the list of complications in my life.
I will keep you posted. Much love.

"That would be my gatorade bottle."
Okay it’s official. Nothing is funnier than the men at my work making PA announcements. I’m pretty sure somewhere they are all taking bets on whether or not someone will dare say something vulgar/ridiculous/hilarious. God love them. They make my day that much more bearable.
Also Easter egg M&M’s are GOOD. Thanks, Mom!
Last night was another gym excursion. Running around the track was a little bit easier this time and I found out that working with a barbell is much easier than working with those stretchy bands. SCREW YOU stretchy bands. Or maybe it’s just because my muscles did all their initial “you worked out for the first time and killed us” bitching over the weekend and now they are done complaining. (Let’s hope so!) Thursday we are doing a special ‘Body Pump’ session which is sure to kick my ass. I like having a trainer though. Honestly, nothing motivates me to jog around a track like someone periodically looking me in the eye saying “I want you to push it this lap.” And then making me do stairs.
I sort of heart him.
Exciting news tonight, I have been invited for a ‘Surf and Turf’ evening of extravagance at Jamie’s mother, Kate’s house. She lives about 30 min away on the BEACH and apparently she’s making lobster and steak. NOM NOM NOM MARRY ME KATE NOM.
I also met Scott’s mom last night (she is visiting from Ontario for the week) and oh my gosh is she not the spitting image of him. They are adorable. She is such a tiny little thing! And so sweet. She asked me all about my job and education and life. And then the three of us watched the, you guessed it, Jays game! And the comments her and Scott were making just killed me.
So after work we are all piling into Scotts car and driving out there. I AM EXCITED. I WANT TO LEAVE WORK NOW.
CHOCOLATE M&M’s MAKE YOU HYPER.
Thursday night will be another gymtastic evening and Friday I am looking forward to a little girl time with my new PH friend, Amanda, who has recently moved to my ‘hood’ as I like to call it. House-breaking in party. Woop, there it is.
Happy Wednesday!
PS: Just checked out: 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood, 'Matched' by Ally Condie and '1984' on DVD from my local library. Has anyone read/watched these? What did you think?

Awwww ya!
Well it’s been another stunningly productive day here in my closet, I mean office. The bossman has been gone now for 2 days. He is gone for the next 3 weeks. This is going to be the longest 3 weeks ever. I have gotten as far in work as possible today but instead of being a keener and reading something which would make me smarter, I am not. I am just not in the mood this week like I was last week and the week before. I am dog tired… 2 visits to the gym after none for +6 months has taken its toll on my bod.
I am enjoying the Y however (cuz as crappy as the gym is, there is nothing else to do in Port Hawkesbury!) and last night planned on joining. Instead, ‘Kevin’ aka Gym instructor hottie! Suggested I sign up for a personal fitness class he and another trainer lead. They began this week and apparently a chick dropped out after the first day :|. Monday and Thursday for 8 weeks 6-8pm $125 will get me the class, along with a gym membership and get this, a FREE 6” sub from subway every day of the 8 weeks.
This class is supposed to be not only a wicked powerful training class but they will take time to teach us about nutritional facts and healthy diets. Kevin (he is so dreamy) looked me in the eye and told me it was a privilege that he’d asked me to join because he knew of other people who had been on a waitlist (probably lies, but he has such pretty eyes!) and that I must promise to eat well and come to the gym at least once a week apart from his class (how could I say no to him???).
Also a plus the winner (there are 5 of us) aka the person who loses the most weight/inches(?) will win a free 1 year YMCA membership, and second place will win a free 4 months (which is about as long as I will be in PH, bonus!). So now I am motivated to win, cept these other chicks have got a 4 day head start. Biatches! I am going to enjoy a final meal at some point before my weigh in from McDo and drink as much water as possible the day of so maybe I will bloat an extra few pounds, muahaha.
Oh. Ya. The class. So 30 min is dedicated to cardio. They have a separate track where we will be jogging/running and doing stairs (pictures the biggest loser workout, male and female trainers yelling encouragement at you included) 30-60min working with bands, kettle bells and weights and time for life lessons at some point I guess. I am the youngest in the group. Hope I do ok! Lol. Apparenty the last chick that won lost 22lbs. I think I can trounce her.

big stop hangover breakfast is good
Two nights of drinking later and I think I have properly bonded with my roommates. However my liver is not talking to me.
Friday night was pomegranate vodka (you know the one) and the Jays vs the Twins. Last night was Long Island Iced Tea...and....the Jays vs the Twins. Scott is actually getting me into baseball. Never thought that would happen.
I am popular apparently, I have gotten two numbers already since moving here. Baam.
Shauna and Amanda. Ohhhh yeaaaaaaah. But in all seriousness it's nice to have some possible girl friends here. I'm also contemplating joining the local YMCA here. It's fairly inexpensive and in walking distance from my house. There's a public pool in the building next to it that has lap swim and such and I could get a membership to both places for about 60 bucks a month, which is not too shabby. I went to the Y yesterday. The gym kills me. Elliptical, my old friend, my legs have not missed you. Family Guy is slowly becoming my favorite show. Ps I am totally not maybe a little deny til you die crushing on my roommate. After Colin I have invoked a strict policy on not making things awkward. So NO. Nooo. NOOO.
But he is really hot. And his personality is deceptively flirty. It messes with my MIND. And we might have sort of almost slept in the same bed Friday. Cept I got outta there and went to my own bed because I am smart and have learned that lesson. DON'T SHIT WHERE YOU EAT PEOPLE. Anywaaays, as always I will keep it honest on my blog and keep you properly updated. I definitely still miss Matt a lot too though. Braaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

time on earth is changing
It’d be worth it to lose a few pounds just to get her off my back. Thing is she’ll never stop. Even if I lost 100 lbs she would say “now if you could just lose that chub off your tummy…”
Work has become this bleak place. It used to holster something magical, unreachable, a fleeting beauty. And now it’s finally dissipated. Let’s Doctor Who metaphor this:
I’m Rose Tyler and I had a perfectly happy life before the Doctor came along. Then he swept me away into his world of adventure, time travel and infinite possibility and life became that much brighter because he was in it. Well, he’s just dropped me off back at home in London, returning me to my old, now dull-in-comparison life.I’m really ready to move on from that place, get back into school and trudge forward into whatever’s next.
Short guy update: Gary’s msging has over the past 2 months become more and more frustrating. He used to be cute and endearing when he’d tick me off, now he just makes me feel bad. Therefore I’ve jumped off the train. Deleted (or at least name changed to Being A Loserface) from my phone. I’m not expecting anything more from him in the near future. Maybe I should have put more effort into seeing him. Or maybe I should just quit it while I’m in such a state of melancholy either way.
Anyone wanna pity party with me? I’ll bring the Ben & Jerry’s, you bring the chick flick and snuggies.
I guess it wouldn’t be right to say nothing about Eclipse, after all Twilight’s never done me wrong. So, YES I saw Eclipse. TWICE. :) And I wouldn’t mind seeing it a few more times (thank you 5.99 movies on Tuesdays, Empire Theatre). Finally, the chemistry between Bella and Edward is believable. I’m Team Jacob and therefore don’t even want them to be together, but I couldn’t help but love them in this movie. Of course, I loved Jake too. In fact I thought he was the best. His acting has improved 10 fold. Favorite scenes (SPOILER ALERT): When Jake gets hurt at the end and is lying on the ground silent screaming; when he screams later in the house when Carlisle is re-breaking his bones. (Pretty sure I was tidal wave crying at this point); when he turns around because Bella asks him to kiss her, the LOOK on his face; and finally the Bella and Edward ending. I was so happy for them I was crying tears of joy and laughing out loud as the credits rolled and Metric played from the speakers. I KNOW I AM A BIG LOSER AND I DON’T CARE. THIS SHIT MAKES ME HAPPY THEREFORE I EMBRACE IT! Lol. That is all. PS I’m totally in love with a fictional character.
Seriously, I have this overwhelming desire to man hunt a guy who looks like Jacob, will protect me like him, is tough and manly and is ruggedly good looking yet caring, sensitive and wants me to be happy. Does this man exist? Cuz I’ll pay money.
In an attempt to cheer myself up I’m posting one of those “List of Summer Goals”. Most people have been writing these up and they seem fairly happy, so what can it hurt?
So with no further adieu and in no particular order…

show your bones
Why. Why the fuck do you feel the need to come sit your ass across from my desk and talk to me for 30 minutes? Why? I’m sitting here, minding my own business, clearly not into the conversation you are trying to have with me. So changing tactics you instead comment on the work I’m still attempting to do as you sit there looking at me. The usual rude comments you say that I despise, which make me feel uncomfortable and I find insulting instead of humorous. It’s like you are poking at the worm you’ve stepped on with a stick trying to bring it back to life, or banging on the glass of the snake tank trying to make it move. It’s not gonna happen.

Yeah, that’s right. I’m getting over you. Face it. It’s no longer a silly girl act of ignoring you, trying to give off the impression that I don’t care…. It is literally that I don’t. Go live your life with your lame ass gf and your developing unibrow and leave me be!!
Now let’s see. O. M. Gee. I had an awesome weekend! First weekend of school being over so lots of people I love have gone home for the summer (tear) but us townies still managed to scrape together some fun. I’ve got a feeling this is going to be a good summer.
Friday me Whit Michelle and Dave watched THE FOURTH KIND on the big screen. IT WAS AWESOME AND TERRIFYING (and completely deserving of cap locks). I was actually shaking in my boots till I put myself to bed. We also made cake and ate it NOM!
Saturday night me Whit and Ebells had an insane girly night/throw back to 11 grade: running around town (literally outside...very dangerous and not highly recommended), drinking on the train bridge (possibly vomiting over the side and/or squat peeing on the bridge directly), and hitting up Indie Pop Night at the Capital. Yeah. Me and Whit started drinking at about 5:30pm...frozen summery drinks made of pure sunshine and goodness. Luckily we made it home alive in the end! Which the next morning I would have argued against...perhaps better wording would be that we survived, avoided jail and any fines and were infact breathing. Alive as in lively...not so much. Not till about 1pm for myself at least, which if any of you know me is a far cry from my usual "I have to get up at 4:30am to make it to work in SJ for 7:30". Oh and I guess I can't exclude our 3am trip to the infamous Diplomat for a delicious open 24/7 meal. (Cheeseburger and poutine....yuuuuuuuum) I would also like to mention here a few key notes: 1. Yelling "G'DAY, MATE!" while exiting the restaurant at various tables. Why you may ask? Well why the hell not. 2. W&E mooning a table of skanky cougars through the window outside while waiting for our cab. 3. One of said ladies running outside to tell us off, and being completely shut down verbally by Bells while me and Whitney died laughing in the background, and at the same time prayed the staff wasn't at that moment calling the cops on us.
umm...sometimes our maturity level is really high...
Moving on! Lastly my weekend ended with a loverly surprise visit from mr. evan sunday night. He brought some beers and we sat on the back porch eating potatoe chips and playing cards till the sun went down.
And even though it is gross humid and rainy outside I managed to drag my ass to yoga tonight, which was exceptional I might add. I could definitely feel missing last week tho: EVEN MY BONES HURT! Womp.
Please escuse me while I go take showa!

Despero is an effed up movie.
This month has been extremely hectic hence only 6 blog posts! Therefore, the following will be the most kick ass post ever seen around these parts. (Probably not but just got with it)
Let’s begin with the excitingness that was last weekend. Saturday night I arranged a mini-SJ celebration! Me, Whit, Jin and Evan all piled up in my car and booked it.
Here are a few side notes:
So we went down and got all prettied up, just for fun, and went out to dinner at East Side Marios which was really fun and delish, and then went back to our room and broke into the glug glug. After a few hours of never have I ever and many drinks, we headed downtown.
Summary: YAY going to bar! Boo whitney forgot her ID at the room. YAY evan threw some money at a cab to take me and whit back. Blah blah blah blah me and whit drunk talking to cabbie. A quick shot while grabbing ID and we’re off! Back to O’learys woooo! Find Jin and Evan and dance dancey dance! Aaand drink break! And more dancey dance. Dance dance dance. Drink. Dance. Sing. Evan singing to lady gaga. Dance drink sing. Dance drink sing. Bar closes, go outside. Girl crouched down crying by wall. Giant fight in the street! Us running like little girls away. Drunk drunk drunk. Running back uphill to find cab! Home again home again.
Meanwhile, I had been texting with Colin’s friend, Murphy all day and night. After we got home from O'learys 3 of them met us up at our motel. Ok, honestly, I love these guys. They are really not your typical ‘good guys’…I know stuff they’ve done that is very baaad, but they seem to like me a lot and therefore I like them a lot cuz they’re nothing but nice to me. Pretty much had a heart to heart with each one of them about Colin. How he is stupid and doesn’t know what to do or what’s good for him. How they all love me and hate her, and that they’ve all got my back. One of them reenacts how excited and close Colin was to going with me before Colleen snagged him back by referring to me as the touch down and how Colin was right on the end line about to score before he got pulled back. Their reassurances definitely made me feel better about the whole situation, even just the fact that they know so much about me and him. And especially the fact that they like me, it’s good to know they’re on my side.
Once they left Whitney hit the sack and me Jin and Evan walked (slash ran) down the street to the gas station and bought some nom noms! *I’d like to note that as we were running the seam on the front of my bra where it snaps together came apart aaaand i think we all died from laughing a bit.
Next day we got some mcdonalds breakfast (euggh), caught the ending of Despero on cable and hit up old navy for some shopping. All in all, complete success of a trip.
Now I am back at work, doing my thang as per usual. I work for two men mainly, and one of them is funner then the other. So I foolishly asked the fun guy for more work, and what does he do? He partners me up with fucking Colin to help him with some work he's doing. LOL. Just my luck, eh? Not that I mind working with Colin at all, but it’s just a funny coincidence. And I’ve yet again fallen into another spot with him…4 more months to freedom and a return to sanity. Breath. Also when I started the work with him yesterday I got these superiority complex vibes from him, like because I'm a girl therefore I am dumber then him. Well, we shall see, my fine feathered. We shall see.
YOGA is the sexiest thing on the planet. I lurv it and want to do it everyday! Sadly it’s only once a week at my gym…anyways moral of the story I went Monday and..it was hot.
Last night I went out to a goodbye dinner and a walk by the water with my good gal friend Emily Hutch: good luck this summer woman! Can’t wait to see you when you return in the fall.
Tonight I am bout to kick some Evan ass at pool. LOOKOUT! Oh and I will be sending my first happy mail package tonight - je suis exciter.
Ummm ummm ummm ummm. That’s all for now. BAM.
PS: DESPERATELY asking ALL for aid! Every song on my ipod reminds me of him for some reason. I need distractions! Any new songs you have that you can tell me to download so I can made a giant new playlist and build new memories would help so much. Thank you thank you thank you for your support.
My near future..I hope...
Let’s begin with the excitingness that was last weekend. Saturday night I arranged a mini-SJ celebration! Me, Whit, Jin and Evan all piled up in my car and booked it.
Here are a few side notes:
- Whitney recently was accepted into Education -Celebration.
- Whit and Jin were both celebrating the end of exams
- Evan is just awesome and so he decided to come along
- I had nothing especially to celebrate other than that I love all these people and I knew it would be a kick ass time.
- My dad gave me a 15 year old coupon for a free night at this sketchy sketchy motel The Fundy Line and after much deliberation, they honoured it – free room = ballin! No matter the level of sketch.
So we went down and got all prettied up, just for fun, and went out to dinner at East Side Marios which was really fun and delish, and then went back to our room and broke into the glug glug. After a few hours of never have I ever and many drinks, we headed downtown.

The lowdown
This morning I had a doctors apt to get my birth control refilled. You all know what that means! That fun once a year apt…yupp. Also, funny thing, it was the first time meeting my new doctor. She shook my hand while I was awkwardly standing sideways in my open front paper gown trying not to flash her. Fortunately, she was very nice and made me feel completely comfortable.
So I worked the rest of today here in Fredericton, in Head Office. Boooooring. The most exciting thing that happened was I got to call someone I work with and get them to log on to my computer there and read me some numbers I forgot.
Alice and Wonderland - tons of crazy hype, right? Everybody just seems to be going ape shit over that movie. Even the guys, (yeah, the GUYS) at work were talking about how they tried to go see it but it was sold out and another one was going last night and blah blah. Lol. I don’t know why but I was never really excited for it at all. I ended up wanting to go to it more just so I could see what all the hub bub was about! Me and my lovely Whit went :D.
Alright, here I go.
I totally loved it! It was really really enjoyable. I liked the story and the way it was done in 3D and love love loved the characters. I found every character had their own significant part to play and they all meshed so well together. And, the Mad Hatter, played by none other than Johnny Depp, was even my favorite. Cheshire Cat coming in at a close second. What a cliché am I.
I’m feeling a bit down in the dumps for this coming weekend, because I’m missing out on some of my good friends’ life events. Ashley, who lives in Moncton, is hosting her engagement party on Saturday there. I love her and her fiancé to death, and I wish I could be there to celebrate this wonderful (if not a long time coming) point in their lives with them.
Jojo's bachelorette party is being held on Saturday night in Moncton. She is co-partying it up with another blushing bride and I know that the party is going to be crazy and amazing and I wish I could be there to stick on her fake eyelashes (oh wait..hahaha!) and feed her shots shots shots shots. Shots of love. (and booze)
Sadly, I will be working again this weekend. My dad took Saturday off and borrowed my grampies trailer so we are going to pick up my bike and bring it home. YAY!!!! Then I’ll be heading to SJ for the afternoon. Miss JB has been kind enough to extend an invitation for me to stay overnight at her place so I can go to work easily in the morning. She’s such a doll, isn’t she? I am supposed to be meeting her new beau, Mitch, and I CANNOT WAIT. Hahaha, I’ve only been hearing of him for a month now. ‘Bout time I sized him up, I think ;).
Anyways, I am excited to see her cuz I haven’t in…too long! Tonight I am having a cheap girl date with Whit, and possibly her bf Julian if he pouty-lip weasels his way into our party.
Wishing you all lovely spring weather! xo.
OH and i went for a run yesterday.. LOOKOUT

Would you like a little cheese with that whine?
I think it’s about time for a real whiner…let me just begin with how effing boring work has become. So, I stopped seeing Colin, if you didn’t notice that he has been extremely lacking in my posts for about 2 weeks now. It’s been like going off a really good party drug. Not that I’ve had that experience but I imagine it’s pretty damn similar. And not that Colin is the end all be all of entertainment but, compared to the other goings on around here, he was rather amusing.
Sometimes I have mini lapses that go against my whole ‘quitting him’ plan: for example I’ll email him just to chat...yeah, I did that today. STUPID. Before with Colin there was a lot of grief but there was also a lot of really great highs and other perks, including but not limited to: happiness, compassion, caring gestures, laughter, comfort, fun. Now all that stuff I became adjusted to is gone, ffft! and all that is left is this really annoying grinding sensation, like the inside of my stomach has been flattened.
Eff that.
Luckily I just had a too long for work chat with my buddy, Evan. Somehow he managed to cheer me right up. He made me laugh and laugh and he didn’t even know I was bummed. He’s pretty rad that way.
I just received this text message from Josh aka the boy I went out with a couple times before Christmas who moved back to Toronto for work:
Weeeeeeeell now. That opens up a whole different weekend scenario for me...ps did I mention how wicked poor I am now because I just spent waaaay to much money on that bike? (Britt and Erica DO NOT RELAY THAT TO MOM!) Basically my plan for the weekend was to continue on my exercise kick, since I’m already in a contract at my gym for the next year that takes 20 bucks out of my bank every 2 weeks. But who knows, maybe a…different kind of exercise? Haha, wink wink nudge nudge. You know what I mean.
Oh holy, all that whining has made me have to pee. Enjoy whatever is remaining of your day!

Hey I’m coming back to Fredericton this weekend. Do you have any plans? It’d be good to see you again

Alright Alright. BLOG!
Good Monday afternoon ladies and gents
What a wondrous weekend! OK announcement #1: THE BIKE IS MINE. Me and Dad went to see it on Saturday afternoon and everything looked good, so I put in an offer. The seller called last night to accept. Boooooyah! Now I am literally counting down the days until winter is over and the snow is gone. May May May May May May May May.
So now I am a little poorer, but very happy. This will be the most expensive thing I’ve ever paid for myself other than my education. Yay, me!
Friday night there was a huge snow storm so I ended up watching the Canada vs. Slovakia game at home with dad. Saturday morning I went to the gym for Zumba! It was actually really fun, the first song they played was Bad Romance so I was into it immediately. Someone should really film that class and put it on youtube or something. I’m sure we all look pretty damn ridiculous. But hey, it’s fun!
Saturday after the bike success, I had a nasty headache so took a nap hoping to sleep it off. My parents went out for a party so I was all alone! Before I know it I’m opening my eyes and it’s 10pm. 10PM. I couldn’t believe it, I had been sleeping in my clothing in the corner of my bed, which was absolutely covered with my crap. Had subway sitting beside me on my desk, dvd on pause, tv still on, cell phone blinking violently. It had been on vibrate….. I jump up and begin frantically answering txts and decide that I am going to make it out even though I’m not at all ready and wicked late. I get dressed, straighten the top of my hair ONLY and throw on mascara. OFF, to a gal friends birthday party. All is good! We head out to the bars, poor Whit has lost her ID……. So she goes to meet her bf who is nearby and I head into the old dirty dirty (aka the 20 20) to dance with some lovely sorority ladies. 10 minutes in I am drenched with sweat, it is so hot! I guess I don’t notice it as much when I’m drunk at the bar…did I mention I was dead sober? Driving….
Anywho, around 1am I head to another bar, the capital complex, to meet up with some of the ladies from the birthday party and hopefully see one of my very good boy friends who is visiting for his mb, Andrew. Andrew is standing there waiting for me and we basically hug for 10 minutes while I jump up and down and he just keeps repeating, “I missed you, Ty”. After we close the bar, me and him go to the ONLY place still open in Fredericton at 230am. You know where I’m talking about….that’s right, the Dip. (the Diplomat…a 24 hour “nice” sit down restaurant) When I finally drop him off at my house, I get out of the car to say good bye. We hug, and then he tells me he wants a goodbye kiss, a real kiss. Then he is kissing me, as in a real all out wrap your arms around me kiss. (ps…did I mention he has a gf where he goes to school? :\) But that’s me and Andrew, we’ve been together before, pretty much since the first time we hung out, I was 16, he was 14. (We were so young then!) Now we’re 19 and 21, and still the same: completely at ease with each other and utterly able to be ourselves. I keep saying someday I will marry this guy. Maybe, if I’m lucky, I will.
Sunday was pretty much a blur of sleeping, going to the gym for a kick my ass workout class and the Gold medal Olympic final between Canada and the US in hockey. When Crosby scored the winning goal in overtime me and my mom were literally jumping up and down in front of the living room TV, screaming. Dad was downstairs with his own jumbo set, but I think I heard a “whoop” from him too. When they raised the Canadian flag and played the national anthem, we both stood and sang. By the end I had tears in my eyes.
Then I went to bed.
Haha, all in all glorious ALCOHOL FREE and gym attending weekend. Go me.

fuck...Thursdays should probably be Fridays.
Alright, I’m giving it up. I’ve been sitting at my desk for about an hour and a half now and seriously, have read a few things and that’s about it. I am doing everything possible to avoid real work and the use of brain cells. Except that I want to be doing work. ? I keep saying, “OK! Let’s do something.” But I’m just not having it today…I keep playing with my hair and reapplying my lip gloss.
So what the hell, time for a blog. It’s been a while since a good decent one. Does anyone elses stomach make absurdly loud noise? Like it’s hungry and rumbling, but much worse. Mine does! But only at work, when I’m sitting in my chair. It just did it. It’s loud. It’s awkward. It happens too often….I’m just waiting for someone to be like, “is that you, Tyler?” :\
Annnnyways, Thursday already. This week has flown by.
Monday: Had to go to the mall to get shampoo, conditioner and foundation from Yves Rocher.
Tuesday: Stayed overnight in SJ at JB’s place. We watched the Olympic hockey game: Canada vs. Germany. Jen also gave me a cooking lesson, so maybe someday I’ll be able to put together a decent meal all by myself.
Wednesday: Wasn’t feeling well, and very tired. Did laundry and made hair clean and purdy. Watched as much of Canada vs. Russia as possible. Fell asleep with about 6 minutes left. Was supposed to go out and meet my good friend who’s visiting from Montreal, Andrew, to play pool but I would likely have slouched over the table and started snoring, cue in hand.
Thursday: Tonight is my promised Andrew rain check. We’ll figure something out. I also have a Sorority dinner tonight, the Big/Lil Sister Dinner! I don’t have a Lil this semester but I am still going to enjoy the company and celebrate new pledges. After this much excitement, I predict I will likely be dead-woman-walking.
Friday: I have to drive to work this day, so hopefully I will get sufficient sleep Thurs night to not pass out at the wheel and careen into the ditch along the highway. Following my trend of being extremely tired lately, I plan on staying in and not drinking this weekend, as I have for the past zillion. I need to save money and not be hungover. Also, I plan on forcing myself to the gym to get a personal trainer because I have discovered when it comes to working out I have the determination of….well…something that doesn’t have much determination.
Today I also feel like challenging myself. Go challenge :)
Uh, is anybody planning on working out this weekend? Please drag my sorry ass along..

Energy drinks are GOLDEN.
I wanted today to be an upbeat day no matter what, so I decided that, from previous experience, I would treat myself to an Energy drink! To my delight, I am feeling wondrous! Cannot stop smiling. Today's drink of choice was a full throttle, cuz that's what was in my fridge. (PS I am drinking it out of my NEW travel mug...pink zebra stripes from Michaels. Whit, this is me finding an excuse to constantly use it, whoop!)
Nothing particularly exciting has happened today, EXCEPT my desk buddy MARC has come for one last visit before shipping out to New Zealand. I only caught him while he came in and I was chatting with my supervisor about diode logic or some such thing, and I am meeting with the Student partnership today for lunch at 12 so I hope he either finishes with my sup or stays until after lunch for some lovely chat and catch up time. He is da BOMB and i miss his presence beside me at work desperately.
Fun thing: Sunday I was asked to sub for an old high school friends volleyball team! They play in tier one of the "grown up" Fredericton co-ed league. I have been trying to get in on this league for a while, but it's not easy. They can only have a certain amount of teams and there are only 6 players to a team usually. I am still working on it, maybe someday! anyways, it was sooo fun!!!!! i got to play power and hit the ball and dig and serve and do everything i used to. HEART HEART HEART! I was all smiles the whole time. we played 5 sets and we won 3 to 2. I thought I would be so awful, I couldn't even find my knee pads BUT i definitely did them proud :D. I was very happy with how well I did, considering I haven't played indoor 6 on 6 structured volleyball since first year. hope they ask me to play for them again next time they are a player down :D :D
Tonight I plan on playing a few games of pool with my rad friend Evan, and possibly catching up on his 'girl' situations (one of our favorite topics). It's fun to have a guy friend that you are STRICTLY friends with. No friends with benefits, no weird flirting. Pure brotherly friendship. It's so refreshing. He's awesome.
Hope everyone's day goes as well as mine has so far! (Knock on Wood) And let's hope this energy drink high will last till 4pm...bahaha!

my head bobs subconciously whenever i hear lady gaga
1. I didn't blog yesterday. :| . Which means I actually had a decently busy day at work, yay! My boss taught me all this new stuff and got me into a new technical design to rework.
Sometimes I can be extremely nerdy...is it weird that work gives me a happy?
2. The sorority I'm in, IBX or Iota Beta Chi, is hosting RUSH for the next two weeks. It is our recruitment period where we host numerous events and collect potential new pledges. Today is the first event: we have a booth set up at the Clubs and Societies fair where we talk about our group, give out candies annnnnd special invitations to our famous Wine and Cheese, which is always our final Rush event. This year we chose an ABC theme...anything but clothes and cups. (Bulgy eyes) Does anyone have any original ideas of what I could make an outfit from/what to drink out of??
3. I finally downloaded the Fame Monster by Lady Gaga, and have been listening to it non stop on my iPod. 26 songs of pure exhilarating, dancie goodness! highly recommended.
MONSTER MAKES ME WANT TO SING OUT LOUD AND PERFORM A CHOREOGRAPHED DANCE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY WORK TRAILER.
4. Snowboarding on Saturday was amazing. I DID not break a damn thing, other than my ego.. The lesson was very tiring for my non conditioned muscles. I feel a lot better after just that short time with an instructor however, and am planning on taking the class again this Saturday. Hopefully my muscles will be a little stronger and I will be confident enough to make it down some real hills with my girl.
5. Life after high school: does anyone elses body feel really different? I feel like my whole psyche works in a new way. In lots of areas, that is a good thing..growing up, maturing, settling into adulthood. But one thing I've been thinking about is how active I used to be. Back then I used to get up, go to school all day, stay after school for practice or a game, go home, stuff down some food, and most likely go out to a different team practice or game. Busy little bee I was, as were most of my friends. Now, 3 years later, I catch myself complaining about how I don't have time for anything after my 12 hour work day, blah blah blah whine whine whine. I used to embrace my fast paced lifestyle. Now I can barely make myself go out to dance with friends and stay til the bar closes without wanting to pass out.
WHERE HAS MY ENERGY/SPIRIT/FIRE GONE? Well, I'm determined to find it again. For the past two weeks I've been attending workout classes at my gym after work and trying to think of any other fun ways of getting back to my old toned and capable body. Ideas or workout buddies are welcome and appreciated.
6. Last night, after Yoga class, while I was in the kitchen with my momma chatting like we do and getting my lunch ready for today:
"What did you want to take? There is some pork left."
"Blaaarg"
"Well, I can make you a chicken breast."
"No"
"How about a steak?"
"I think I want to become a vegetarian..I'm bored of meat."
She then pulled out of the fridge a vegetarian lo mein from M&M Meat Shop.
(She had actually bought us both one as a treat for New Years Eve. I was planning on staying in on NYE and having a chill mom&ty-party with her aka laying in her bed watching Criminal Minds reruns and keeping up a steady commentary about who we think is the best looking in the cast and why..but of course was talked into going out (I am easily convinced). She is the sweetiest person around. I love my momma.)
So vege huh. What do y'all think?
7. HEY! I didn't even think of writing about Colin, until just now while am going back and editing..
What does that tell me!
Nothing much actually...he is still the same for me. I'm struggling between the desire to hang out with him and the desire to remain sane. Yesterday, (remember I was quite busy) he came over to my desk in the morning just to chat, which is very rare in itself. (He's on my way out of the trailer so I am often the one walking by him) He cajoled me again when I was coming to Saint John. Then he went into his "Us four should get together again and hang out" speech. ("Us four" being myself, Jen Buns, him and his trusted friend Murphy) and I assume us hanging out would mean drinking and making out again...
He has been singing that song to me since my return from Christmas break. Here is where I am torn between wanting to give in...Aren't we all just living for those small precious moments of happiness. Frustration with myself ensues.
Boys are complicated, but that's what makes them worth it, isn't it?
Sometimes I can be extremely nerdy...is it weird that work gives me a happy?

Boys are complicated, but that's what makes them worth it, isn't it?

one sister down, one to go
It is late! I decided to stay in tonight with my sister, Britt, who arrived this morning via airplane from Alberta, skipping out on "end of exam" celebrations. Technically, I didn't write exams this semester, and I still am expected to be at work Monday so I would only be fake celebrating anyways.
Today was our group (Design Services - Electrical) meeting at the Holiday Inn in SJ. There was about 20 of us and it was a very good day. Everyone had to get up and do a 15 minute presentation. Colin was there and Brendon and I drove down with my desk buddy Marc from Fredericton. We started at 9:30 ish and it was my turn to go at about 11:20.
You'd think that we were a bunch of 7 year olds with ADD for the amount of squirming and talking that went on throughout the day during the presentations. I guess mine was well done, so said Brendon and Marc to me and my head supervisor. Also, no one was talking during it, so I hope that means they were actually listening. I even got a few questions from some of the grumpier old men and was able to answer them correctly and to their satisfaction. Yay! I was very relieved when I was finished. Poor Brendon had to go last, at 3:30! lol, his was so funny tho it was the perfect one to go last because it was only 6 slides long! (mine was 29)
We had ordered dinner from a Greek restaurant called Vitos, and there were a ton of bags with peoples names on them. :( Mine, along with another one of the girls, was missing. I ended up taking the lunch of a man that went home sick. It had a greek salad in it and that's all I really wanted anyways. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. I like crisp lettuce in my greek salad. I LOVE greek salad and greek food, but this wasn't very good. We had another break in the afternoon and we had a fruit tray that was sooooo good. I totally bee-lined for it and ate a whole bowl full of melon, watermelon and pineapple. YUMM. Hmmmm, what else....oh well I guess I could mention how weird Colin was acting. Not really weird, just nicer to me then usual. Like, every time we had a break he would find me and stand next to me and attempt at conversation, when usually he would just go join the rest of the guys. Buuuut, I didn't really care I just treated him like I would Brendon or Marc or anybody else I'm friends with at work. It was also his birthday today, when we were all leaving I slapped him on the shoulder and told him happy birthday. He put his hand on my shoulder and told me to have a good weekend, and that was that. Good day :) No drama, no concern, just normalcy.
When I got home from SJ, me and B went to McGinnis Landing restaurant for my Student Partnership Christmas dinner. Brendon was there, and a couple of the other students I like, and it was actually really fun. A lot more fun that I thought it would be. We did our yankee swap and I got a new book! Stupid White Man by Michael Moore. It looks interesting, so I have put it on my book reading schedule. (too bad it is way down the line, I have so many things I want to read! i wish i had more time!)
We went to the drugstore and got B some new red hair dye, and to the liquor store to pick up some goodies for tomorrow night.(mmm mikes hard pink lemonade and baileys) Then we came home, watched a bit of the 40 year old virgin and I wrapped presents while britt dyed her hair. now I am sitting in bed at 1am, my contacts are killing me, listening to my itunes on shuffle (spirit in the sky).
BIG PLANS FOR TOMORROW!
Breakdown:
- Boyce Farmer's Market for some sweet grub. Possibly Betty Lee's springrolls, Gustaffs buffalo burgers, or some chinese noodles and wontons! Oh yes and can't forget the german danishes. YA-um.
- some gym class to work it all off
- maybe making a gingerbread house!
- sat night party like a rockstar

Hot chocolate goodness.
I just made hot chocolate at work!
While grocery shopping last week I specifically bought two cans, one for home and one for work. I get my hot water from one of the trailers water coolers, but it always spits out more then one cups worth, so today I made two, one for me and one for Colin as well. He has a cough and was very appreciative. But enough about him!
CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!
No lights (note Liam, fascinated by the tree)

With lights (Liam is in the tree box at this point I believe)

Can't wait til my sisters arrive and we can decorate it properly.
So, these are some of the creations I made at my wire basics class (blurry pictures again :/)

I keep repeating with the same beads, I know. I had picked out all these wicked cool green and blue beads with brown specs on them, but once I got started I realized they wouldn't fit on the 18 gauge wire we were using...so I had to pick out new stuff really quick!
I am dreading tonight, it is supposed to go down to -30 degrees. I didn't get to go to my body flow class last night because it was snowing and storming out, and it was too far away to drive, but I hope tonight, even though I will likely freeze my face off walking through the parking lot, I will get to my Zumba class at 7pm, Smythe St Goodlife. Instead, I had a lazy lazy night, in which i ate supper, watched the peak season finale while making one earring (which took me forever), talked to my momma, took a shower and made my lunch for today.

Sore...cold....and cranky because of it!
Lol, that was what I was saying to myself last night as I was walking around downtown. But before we get to my evening, let's give a little recap of my Monday day...
Pretty good day at work, fairly quiet, but extremely warm and nice out. No need for winter coats yesterday afternoon, yay! In the morning I worked on the 15 minutes presentation I have to do this Friday in front of my whole department :|. The afternoon I spent working with my desk Buddy, Marc. He gave me a tutorial on how to code in VBA for excel. (write computer programs that work in microsoft excel) It was fun and he is a good teacher, tho he thinks he isn't. He's my favorite person to ask for help here at work because he is always up for explaining things and he does it nicely and so I really understand well.
Like I mentioned in my earlier post, last night I had signed up for the Wire Basics class at Garden of Beadin. In this class I made two pairs of earrings, a bracelet and something I cannot mention because it may or may not be duplicated into presents for some people who might read this. In order to make the earrings and the bracelet, we took basic wire and were taught how to manipulate it into slip rings, earring hooks and bracelet clasps. I am QUEEN of the P-wrap loop! Now I don't have to spend obscene amounts of money to buy these pre-maid. Yeah.
Oh, right, let's get to the Sore, cold and cranky part of the night. Well I arrived in Fredericton at the regent mall to an, of course, freezing car. I have to get to class early so I can pick out the beads I'm going to use, so I've got about 30-45 minutes to drive there, park and get some food. First, I couldn't decide where to go eat. I'm driving down regent, sitting in my icebox with wheels, thinking, oh, I could go to wendys. But then I've already driven past prospect and I don't feel like switching lanes and back tracking..so I think Dimitres. Then I remember I don't have a book to read or anything, dimitres takes a bit and I've just eaten there. O, there is a McDonalds downtown in kingsplace. All I can see is a Big Mac and me chomping on that goodness. So, I'm driving around downtown and I'm looking for a parking space. There are no parking spaces :| And it's so cold and slippery I really dont feel like walking from behind city hall (which is like the safe place to park since there are always spots). I think I'll park in the kings place parking garage, where I never have before, but there must be some spots there. I get there, and it costs money! 1.50 per hour...I will be parked for atleast 3 hours..and it's all automated so I don't even know if I have to pay after 5pm. I back back onto Brunswick st when no one is coming and drive around. THERE is a spot right beside kings place. This old couple just drove out! But alas, I am not facing the right way, so I pull ahead through the set of lights and wait till there are no cars, pull a U-e. By this time the light has already turned red, so I'm stuck waiting, starring at it. Another car comes along, the only other car I swear, and they have the green light. They turn and take the spot while I just am sitting there swearing and burning them with my eyes! I turn left next to the building next to kingsplace, in front of the bank of hong kong, and there is a spot. I park. It says 1/2 parking only. I am so frustrated already I'm like, I don't care if it is after 5 I do not want to get a ticket for parking here for 3 hours! Grumbling I drive to city hall and park behind it.
So far, I have covered cold, and sort of crabby. Here comes the sore: (and NO I did not fall, if that is what you are thinking, cuz that would have been really funny actually)
My legs ache from doing the Body Pump exercise class Sunday. Sooooo stiff. So I'm walking really slowly so I don't faceplant, I'm super sore, I'm freezing and now I am cranky. This is the point where I actually said out loud: "Sore....cold...and cranky because of it!" lol, I'm a hoot. and don't worry no one was around. I often talk to myself while walking downtown alone at night because I am afraid of muggers, and I secretly hope my chatter will deter them.
Fast forward to me getting to kings place, it's about 6:29 at this point and Mcdonalds closes at 6:30 apparently so says the girl working there and they are no longer making food. Shoooooot me now. Too late to go to Dimitres. Subway it is. Meanwhile, still freezing, sore and extra crabby now due to lack to deliciousness.
As I take a bite of my catfood tasting chicken breast sub 10 min later, I get a txt from B telling me how she ate subway friday and spent the rest of the weekend puking her guts out because of it.
Sweet.
So far, I have not been sick, thank goodness!
Finally I get to my class and it all goes well from there and my crabbiness goes away. I came home to a wonderful, lite up house, and my momma even made my lunch for work today :). Lovely, lovely..
tonight I plan on stopping at the bead store on the northside, Beadnik, to see what they've got. and then off to Body Flow class at goodlife on prospect for 7:30pm.
B arrives home Friday woo!

isnt sunday supposed to be a lazy day?
Nothing like a good ass-kicking to kick your ass! Just got back from Body Pump class at the smythe st GoodLife Fitness centre. Woooow. Talk about a full body workout. So awesome! The class targets specific muscle groups by doing a set of intense exercises in each area....and then you die. :| Really nice, funny instructor as well. Will definitaly be going again, ladies if anyone wants to join in.
Other than that I had a good morning sitting around chatting with my mom and eating a delicious lunch of macaroni casserole, while dad re-did the christmas lights outside that I put up last weekend. Apparently I did not do a good enough job...*eye roll*

Presently I am watching "Alice", a real-life ShowCase sequel to the story Alice in Wonderland. It's quite well done for a tv special, and there is a very good looking british accented actor in it playing the "Mad Hatter"....CRUSH!!!!

Now, I'm going to put up our extra-large christmas tree in the living room, my tiny christmas tree in my room and get ready to take my extra-tiny christmas tree to set on my desk at work. Yay for Christmas cheer!
