time on earth is changing

Summer's begun. Its +30 degrees and humid every day; it’s too hot for me and it’s grossing me out. Since I've been back from Edmonton, I've been feeling tired and crappy. I’ve begun swimming with my mother everyday. I really love swimming. It feels good to be moving my forgotten muscles. And it’s nice to spend time with my mom, but oh my god does she never shut up. Literally any conversation we have she’ll interrupt and turn it into an annoying pep talk: fat is the devil, and I should constantly be moving in the water because it burns calories and floating doesn’t burn calories, Tyler you shouldn’t be eating anything other than salad and chicken because everything else is just calories and that goes for dressing too, Tyler I don’t want you to drink anymore, Tyler I’m going to guilt you into staying here for 3 hours so you can lose weight, you’ll lose some of that flab if you come here everyday, see that girl Tyler, if you do this everyday you can have a figure like her, etc etc.

It’d be worth it to lose a few pounds just to get her off my back. Thing is she’ll never stop. Even if I lost 100 lbs she would say “now if you could just lose that chub off your tummy…”

Work has become this bleak place. It used to holster something magical, unreachable, a fleeting beauty. And now it’s finally dissipated. Let’s Doctor Who metaphor this:
I’m Rose Tyler and I had a perfectly happy life before the Doctor came along. Then he swept me away into his world of adventure, time travel and infinite possibility and life became that much brighter because he was in it. Well, he’s just dropped me off back at home in London, returning me to my old, now dull-in-comparison life.
I’m really ready to move on from that place, get back into school and trudge forward into whatever’s next.

Short guy update: Gary’s msging has over the past 2 months become more and more frustrating. He used to be cute and endearing when he’d tick me off, now he just makes me feel bad. Therefore I’ve jumped off the train. Deleted (or at least name changed to Being A Loserface) from my phone. I’m not expecting anything more from him in the near future. Maybe I should have put more effort into seeing him. Or maybe I should just quit it while I’m in such a state of melancholy either way.

Anyone wanna pity party with me? I’ll bring the Ben & Jerry’s, you bring the chick flick and snuggies.

I guess it wouldn’t be right to say nothing about Eclipse, after all Twilight’s never done me wrong. So, YES I saw Eclipse. TWICE. :) And I wouldn’t mind seeing it a few more times (thank you 5.99 movies on Tuesdays, Empire Theatre). Finally, the chemistry between Bella and Edward is believable. I’m Team Jacob and therefore don’t even want them to be together, but I couldn’t help but love them in this movie. Of course, I loved Jake too. In fact I thought he was the best. His acting has improved 10 fold. Favorite scenes (SPOILER ALERT): When Jake gets hurt at the end and is lying on the ground silent screaming; when he screams later in the house when Carlisle is re-breaking his bones. (Pretty sure I was tidal wave crying at this point); when he turns around because Bella asks him to kiss her, the LOOK on his face; and finally the Bella and Edward ending. I was so happy for them I was crying tears of joy and laughing out loud as the credits rolled and Metric played from the speakers. I KNOW I AM A BIG LOSER AND I DON’T CARE. THIS SHIT MAKES ME HAPPY THEREFORE I EMBRACE IT! Lol. That is all. PS I’m totally in love with a fictional character.

Seriously, I have this overwhelming desire to man hunt a guy who looks like Jacob, will protect me like him, is tough and manly and is ruggedly good looking yet caring, sensitive and wants me to be happy. Does this man exist? Cuz I’ll pay money.

In an attempt to cheer myself up I’m posting one of those “List of Summer Goals”. Most people have been writing these up and they seem fairly happy, so what can it hurt?

So with no further adieu and in no particular order…

keep the good times rolling

Alright alright alright, time for a good old wordy blog. Can I just begin with that it’s FREAKIN BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE?

Yessssss. Nothing is better then working in a small trailer with the window down beside my computer and glorious sun shining in, listening to good tunes on my iPod. Hmmm. Ok…rereading that, lots of things are better, but it is the best case scenario for me at work sitting at my desk. Ya, that’s a little more accurate.

Anyways, this week has been pretty relaxing. Watched Battle Royale Tuesday night, love that movie! If you haven’t seen it, see it. I got so caught up that I went out and bought the book the movie’s based on last night and have already started reading it. Exciting.

Last night, my good buddy Evan picked me up and we went and played some killa pool. Best part was this short hottie who was, for the most part, sitting at the bar all night and therefore pretty sure he was hammered, or atleast had a good buzz on. He walked by our table twice to go to the bathroom. The first time when he was walking away I caught him eye starring me down. He just had the most serious look on his face, like pure seduction, I actually started laughing. I was giggling and blushing just like a little school girl. And he just sauntered back up to his post at the bar. The second time he did it, I was ready and I kept my composure, trying to equal his seduction look while not being able to stifle my smile. He literally kept eye contact until he was looking backwards at me while still walking away. It was awesome! Haha, awesome because he was actually kinda hot. He was fairly short, but I like short guys, and the way he walked, looked at me, and his general appearance, he sort of reminded me of Stefan from Vampire Diaries. HAHA! Oh geez, ok next topic.

Tonight I am once again resting my head in the fair city of Saint John. My car pool TOTALLY ditched out on me today, so I had to drive by myself...figured I might as well make lemonade! Jbone doesn’t get off work until about 7:30pm so I’m on my own until then. I got to work late this morning (perk of not having to meet a carpool: able to say ‘fuck it’ and hit that snooze button!) so I’ll be here until about 6pm if I’m a good girl. 30 min or so to SJ, then I figure I’ll get some grub and do a little shopping. No, Colin is not on the menu, if anyone is curious. At the moment I’m pretty sure we are in a…fight. Complicated, long story, not blog appropriate.

Anywho, I’m hoping me and Jen get some quality hang out time in and possibly play some Disney scene it, cuz we are seriously ballin’ at that game.

Uhhhhh, what else. God this is a doozie. Can you tell I’m bored at work? Uh, let’s see Friday night I am going to see Two Hours Traffic at UNB sub. PUMPED! Have seen them in concert twice already and they are awesome guys. Hutch and Whit have agreed to be my dates.

Saturday night is Iota Beta Chi’s Annual Ball! I am sooo excited! Evan is coming with me (as my guest) and he is gonna dress up all sweet, he even got this grey vest to wear and he’s getting it taken in right now. I heart him. Predrinking at Miss Whitney’s house I do believe. I am fairly excited for the whole affair.

That about sums it up. Keep the good times rolling.

Alright Alright. BLOG!

Good Monday afternoon ladies and gents

What a wondrous weekend! OK announcement #1: THE BIKE IS MINE. Me and Dad went to see it on Saturday afternoon and everything looked good, so I put in an offer. The seller called last night to accept. Boooooyah! Now I am literally counting down the days until winter is over and the snow is gone. May May May May May May May May.

So now I am a little poorer, but very happy. This will be the most expensive thing I’ve ever paid for myself other than my education. Yay, me!

Friday night there was a huge snow storm so I ended up watching the Canada vs. Slovakia game at home with dad. Saturday morning I went to the gym for Zumba! It was actually really fun, the first song they played was Bad Romance so I was into it immediately. Someone should really film that class and put it on youtube or something. I’m sure we all look pretty damn ridiculous. But hey, it’s fun!

Saturday after the bike success, I had a nasty headache so took a nap hoping to sleep it off. My parents went out for a party so I was all alone! Before I know it I’m opening my eyes and it’s 10pm. 10PM. I couldn’t believe it, I had been sleeping in my clothing in the corner of my bed, which was absolutely covered with my crap. Had subway sitting beside me on my desk, dvd on pause, tv still on, cell phone blinking violently. It had been on vibrate….. I jump up and begin frantically answering txts and decide that I am going to make it out even though I’m not at all ready and wicked late. I get dressed, straighten the top of my hair ONLY and throw on mascara. OFF, to a gal friends birthday party. All is good! We head out to the bars, poor Whit has lost her ID……. So she goes to meet her bf who is nearby and I head into the old dirty dirty (aka the 20 20) to dance with some lovely sorority ladies. 10 minutes in I am drenched with sweat, it is so hot! I guess I don’t notice it as much when I’m drunk at the bar…did I mention I was dead sober? Driving….

Anywho, around 1am I head to another bar, the capital complex, to meet up with some of the ladies from the birthday party and hopefully see one of my very good boy friends who is visiting for his mb, Andrew. Andrew is standing there waiting for me and we basically hug for 10 minutes while I jump up and down and he just keeps repeating, “I missed you, Ty”. After we close the bar, me and him go to the ONLY place still open in Fredericton at 230am. You know where I’m talking about….that’s right, the Dip. (the Diplomat…a 24 hour “nice” sit down restaurant) When I finally drop him off at my house, I get out of the car to say good bye. We hug, and then he tells me he wants a goodbye kiss, a real kiss. Then he is kissing me, as in a real all out wrap your arms around me kiss. (ps…did I mention he has a gf where he goes to school? :\) But that’s me and Andrew, we’ve been together before, pretty much since the first time we hung out, I was 16, he was 14. (We were so young then!) Now we’re 19 and 21, and still the same: completely at ease with each other and utterly able to be ourselves. I keep saying someday I will marry this guy. Maybe, if I’m lucky, I will.

Sunday was pretty much a blur of sleeping, going to the gym for a kick my ass workout class and the Gold medal Olympic final between Canada and the US in hockey. When Crosby scored the winning goal in overtime me and my mom were literally jumping up and down in front of the living room TV, screaming. Dad was downstairs with his own jumbo set, but I think I heard a “whoop” from him too. When they raised the Canadian flag and played the national anthem, we both stood and sang. By the end I had tears in my eyes.

Then I went to bed.

Haha, all in all glorious ALCOHOL FREE and gym attending weekend. Go me.

8:13 am and jittery?

haha YAY for new followers! i get excited every time i get a new one. if you are reading my blog and not following me...you should be (cough nat...cough m.) Cuz it makes a person feel GOOD!

This morning i drove to work in my carpool and drank a MONSTER energy drink so as not to fall asleep:

The result is that I have an abundance of energy now, and no real way to disperse it. I hope it lasts all day. It feels good, lol. It is like a fun drug...except legal. I don't feel sad about things like BOYS right now. YAY. Everyone should drink these!

PS here are my new sneakers, just as killer as they were yesterday.

I love them.

Last night I watched some reruns of Peak Season, and realized how much I miss it. Killa killa! It was even an ep with the aussie couple in it <3. Sigh...and now Jersey Shore is almost over...what am I going to watch now.

I don't have makeup on and haven't decided whether im going to put any on or not yet. Hmmmm.

GET BACK TO WORK.

Dix choses...

10 things!

I was tagged by the lovely Samboy to share 10 random things about me! I'm excited....and it will help me get rid of those 2 ugly posts below which I do not want to see anymore.

1. I like to think that I have my own style, which I love! But sometimes I get to thinking about trends and wonder if I come up with any of my own ideas, or if they are just subconsciously planted in my brain through TV, magazines, the internet, etc? For example, Ray Banner sunglasses have been pretty hot this past while, but I swear I bought a pair from le Chateau months before I saw anyone else with them. I even wore them and then got tired of them and stopped. Then all of a sudden it seemed like everyone was effing wearing them!? This thought often stops me mid purchase and makes me wrack my brain as to whether I truly like it or not.

2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my all time favorite show. I own all the seasons and have probably watched them 8 times through. I love everything about it, the cast, the characters, the story lines, the fight scenes, the comic relief, the love stories, the heart, and everything else that makes that show what it is. Oh, and my MAJOR crush on Spike doesn't hurt.

3. I have an irrational fear of flying in an airplane, or aerophobia. (Aerophobia: An abnormal and persistent fear of flying) Last time I went on a plane it was on a trip to California for my sister Erica's wedding. We had 3 landings and take offs for the way down, and two on the way back. By the end of it I was still horrid. On the first take off I had to hold my dads hand and I had tears in my eyes.

4. I can speak English and French, but am rubbish at learning languages now...I tried to learn Spanish in a university class and totally gave up and dropped it. It was too hard and awkward! I wish I could speak lots and lots of languages, I find them fascinating and beautiful. I also really enjoy watching subtitled movies. Swedish is one of my favorite languages...it is mesmerizing.

5. Some songs make me dance, always, even if I am in the most public place where dancing is extremely foolish and inappropriate. Here is a short list of some songs that possess me these days:

Fire Burning - Sean Kingston (listening to it right now, and am dancing in my desk chair)
Pokerface - Lady Gaga
Call On Me - Eric Prydz
Summer Girls - The Stereos
Swing - Savage
Cotton Eye Joe
Believe - Cher
Sexy Chick - David Guetta ft Akon
Crank Dat - Soulja Boi
Starstrukk [Remix] - 3OH!3 ft Katy Perry

6. I can't remember a relationship I was in that I didn't cheat on the person, and I have been "the other women" more than once. I have serious issues with monogamy, and sometimes I think it is better to not have a monogamous relationship. It's complicated and confusing and probably only makes sense to me, so I won't even try to explain myself.

I think that I'm just this kind of person that won't be satisfied until they meet the person their going to marry. And then I will be, and I'll be grown up, and I'll be ready. I also have a firm belief and desire to someday get married and have a family and a wonderful marital relationship.

7. My two front teeth are fake! I got them knocked out when I was young when me and a friend were throwing rocks into the stream in my backyard. Lee swung her hand back and smacked me in the mouth with the rock she was holding. My mom and Lee were both crying and but I didn't cry. It didn't really hurt and I didn't realize at the time what it would mean exactly. Well now I know! Years of having temporary caps fall off at random times in my life and having to walk around snaggle toothed for a day or two, multiple emergency trips to the dentist to get new ones stuck on. Finally ending when I was 18 with the application of permanent porcelain verniers. Now my teeth are different, and they'll be that way forever. Isn't that a weird thought? Just imagine all of a sudden you have different looking front teeth then what you have had your whole adult life. WEIRD!

8. Sneakers are my passion. I wear them all year round! I would rather wear sneakers then cute flats, or practical winter boots. I cannot wear heels if my life depended on it, they hurt me soooooooo bad, no matter how slimming they make your ankle look! I also am the pickiest sneaker buyer on the planet. It literally takes me weeks, sometimes months to buy a new pair. I have to go through every shop, check out everything. Most of the time I will do all that and not end up buying anything because I am so damn particular. Not only with looks, but with fit. So I'll end up keeping on wearing my old pair, even if they are full of holes, ripped, stinky and all around destroyed. I have owned only about 5 pairs of sneakers in my life that I really enjoyed. The pair that I bought on this past weekend are one of them. I am wearing them right now and I love love LOOOVE them! I tried to look up a pic online but there are just too many Adidas out there.

9. I'm 5'11. TALLLLLLL!!! and I love it.

10. I drive a motorcycle and I wish I could drive it all year round <3. Mine is a 650 Suzuki GS '84, but I really want to buy a sport bike when the opportunity is best.

THAT TOOK SO LONG. It's hard to think of random things about yourself, cuz to you, they're not really random, they're just you.

My turn to TAG 5 people!

I piiiiiiiiiiiiiick, the people I think most likely to do it, or that I want to force to do it, or that I think will pass it along, cuz it's fuuuuuuuuuuun:

Tmo (even though I think she is a slacker blogger because she hasn't written in a week! hint hint)

my head bobs subconciously whenever i hear lady gaga

1. I didn't blog yesterday. :| . Which means I actually had a decently busy day at work, yay! My boss taught me all this new stuff and got me into a new technical design to rework.

Sometimes I can be extremely nerdy...is it weird that work gives me a happy?

2. The sorority I'm in, IBX or Iota Beta Chi, is hosting RUSH for the next two weeks. It is our recruitment period where we host numerous events and collect potential new pledges. Today is the first event: we have a booth set up at the Clubs and Societies fair where we talk about our group, give out candies annnnnd special invitations to our famous Wine and Cheese, which is always our final Rush event. This year we chose an ABC theme...anything but clothes and cups. (Bulgy eyes) Does anyone have any original ideas of what I could make an outfit from/what to drink out of??

3. I finally downloaded the Fame Monster by Lady Gaga, and have been listening to it non stop on my iPod. 26 songs of pure exhilarating, dancie goodness! highly recommended.

MONSTER MAKES ME WANT TO SING OUT LOUD AND PERFORM A CHOREOGRAPHED DANCE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY WORK TRAILER.

"He ate my heart
(I love that girl)
He ate my heart
(Wanna talk to her, she’s hot as hell)"

4. Snowboarding on Saturday was amazing. I DID not break a damn thing, other than my ego.. The lesson was very tiring for my non conditioned muscles. I feel a lot better after just that short time with an instructor however, and am planning on taking the class again this Saturday. Hopefully my muscles will be a little stronger and I will be confident enough to make it down some real hills with my girl.

5. Life after high school: does anyone elses body feel really different? I feel like my whole psyche works in a new way. In lots of areas, that is a good thing..growing up, maturing, settling into adulthood. But one thing I've been thinking about is how active I used to be. Back then I used to get up, go to school all day, stay after school for practice or a game, go home, stuff down some food, and most likely go out to a different team practice or game. Busy little bee I was, as were most of my friends. Now, 3 years later, I catch myself complaining about how I don't have time for anything after my 12 hour work day, blah blah blah whine whine whine. I used to embrace my fast paced lifestyle. Now I can barely make myself go out to dance with friends and stay til the bar closes without wanting to pass out.

WHERE HAS MY ENERGY/SPIRIT/FIRE GONE? Well, I'm determined to find it again. For the past two weeks I've been attending workout classes at my gym after work and trying to think of any other fun ways of getting back to my old toned and capable body. Ideas or workout buddies are welcome and appreciated.

6. Last night, after Yoga class, while I was in the kitchen with my momma chatting like we do and getting my lunch ready for today:

"What did you want to take? There is some pork left."

"Blaaarg"

"Well, I can make you a chicken breast."

"No"

"How about a steak?"

"I think I want to become a vegetarian..I'm bored of meat."

She then pulled out of the fridge a vegetarian lo mein from M&M Meat Shop.
(She had actually bought us both one as a treat for New Years Eve. I was planning on staying in on NYE and having a chill mom&ty-party with her aka laying in her bed watching Criminal Minds reruns and keeping up a steady commentary about who we think is the best looking in the cast and why..but of course was talked into going out (I am easily convinced). She is the sweetiest person around. I love my momma.)

So vege huh. What do y'all think?

7. HEY! I didn't even think of writing about Colin, until just now while am going back and editing..

What does that tell me!

Nothing much actually...he is still the same for me. I'm struggling between the desire to hang out with him and the desire to remain sane. Yesterday, (remember I was quite busy) he came over to my desk in the morning just to chat, which is very rare in itself. (He's on my way out of the trailer so I am often the one walking by him) He cajoled me again when I was coming to Saint John. Then he went into his "Us four should get together again and hang out" speech. ("Us four" being myself, Jen Buns, him and his trusted friend Murphy) and I assume us hanging out would mean drinking and making out again...

He has been singing that song to me since my return from Christmas break. Here is where I am torn between wanting to give in...Aren't we all just living for those small precious moments of happiness. Frustration with myself ensues.

Boys are complicated, but that's what makes them worth it, isn't it?

2. Where do you live? City, State? if you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Fredericton, NB, CANADA! I love living there, born and raised. Honestly I can't choose the one place I could like because I haven't seen enough of the world yet, but North Carolina is a beautiful place and is at the top of my list as of now.

3. Where do you work? What's your job title? Do you love your job?

I am still a student enrolled in university, but I've been working at Point Lepreau Nuclear Plant in a student partnership program since last May, and will be there until this Sept. I love my job! Which is good since it's what I'm going to be doing once I graduate, I hope. I am studying to be an Electrical engineer, and I work in the Electrical design department. I love power engineering WOO!

4. If you could work anywhere or do anything what would it be?

I would have liked to be an established author, living an exotic life in Egypt, searching for mummies tombs and such.

The time traveler's wife (borrring)
Outlander by diana gabaldon (good)
The lovely bones (very enticing read)

14. What's on your bedside table.

When I wake up, as I'm not at home right now, usually:
- an empty glass or two (which used to be filled with water, and i am too lazy to take them upstairs to the sink...)
- my ipod stereo/alarm clock/ipod charger with a sickeningly bright screen that i need to cover up at night so i can sleep
- a ceramic square plate which was passed down to me from earlier sorority sisters and has a rainbow and IBX painted on it (this is great for holding all sorts of things so they don't roll off)
- a little pink my little pony with turquoise zebra stripes (my oldest sister used to collect them so i inherited it with the room and that is just where it lives)
- my cell phone charger cord and my cell phone if i havent woken up yet (it is also my alarm in the morning)
- probably some dirty tissues that havent made their way to the garbage yet (it is cold season after all)
- possibly my tv, dvd, vcr or ipod stereo remote, whichever one that's in use at the time, the rest are stowed in the bed side table drawer)

Woop! Almost lunch time...

momma made me a delicious lunch last night cuz i was busy at a ring making class until late: rice and honey garlic spare ribs, celery with cheese whiz, some cheddar crispy mini rice cakes, an apple and some honeydew melon. best mom EVER.

My 20 Favorite Possessions

1. My owl.

I started working at Zellers department store when I was in grade 11, and I worked there for a good 4 and a half years (almost long enough for the 15% discount! So close) One day while working hard aka browsing the shelves I came across this little guy. He was regular $40 but 50% off. I carried him around the store in my cart for the next few days, and finally broke down and got him. He’s my favorite fake-pet and I love him.

2. My books.

I LOVE TO READ! Nuf said. (Except im going to say more) These are some of my most favorite.

3. My Buffy the vampire slayer DVDs

Can and have watched these over and over and over. These aren't all the seasons but I've got them all around here somewhere... This show fits my personality so well, like it was made just for me. I may stand alone when I say this, but it is my favorite television show, and I think it will be forever.

4. My jewelry.

I love jewelry and being creative with it. I think I’ve learned this from my sister, B, who once made a necklace randomly with a fleur de lis pendant. Presently, you can go into almost any store (including American Eagle, as we’ve only recently found out) and find look-a-like necklaces with fleur de lis. She is like, a regular style icon.

bunch of Fleur de Lis:

5. My wall painting.

My mom bought this at an auction. She had it hidden from my dad for months, but I found it wrapped in towels in her closet. (Yeah im sneaky like that) She told me that she had to buy it because it is just like our family! She is the mother, and the three little girls, from left to right, are Erica, my oldest sister, Brittany, the middle sister, and me, the baby <3

6. My elfquest comic book collection

When I was little and this room used to belong to my oldest sister, I would sneak down here and play with all her stuff. She had a set of these graphic novels and I read them and read them. When I was old enough I purchased a first edition set for myself off of eBay. Call it nerdy, if you must.

7. My acorn jewelry pot

Stolen from my mother, and by stolen I mean it was there and I said GIMME GIMME GIMME. And she gave it to me. One of my cutest things I think, and something I will be taking with me when I move out of my parents’ house…someday.

8. My map of the USA

Target steal! Regular $40, I got it for $16.99 US cuz it was on the wrong hook. Cha ching. Brought it home as my carry on flying from California to New Hampshire…dedication. Fun fact: the REAL artwork of this is on display at Stanford University. My sister's husband, who works there, ran across it and took a pic on his cell phone! The real one also has Hawaii and Alaska.

9. My toothbrush

Birthday present from my amazing sister, Erica! The commercial does not lie: it is exactly like getting your teeth dentist cleaned. I am a cavity whore (due to extremely soft teeth with which I can do nothing about) and for the first time in, I don’t remember how long, I just had a dental checkup and did not have any cavities. Booyah, baby.

10. My grey sweater

I am also a sweater whore, and this is my of-the-moment favorite sweater. I love how it hangs, and the neat pockets, and the color cuz I can wear it with pretty much anything.

Aside story: me and B went to a Christmas party Saturday night and all day she was hassling me about borrowing the sweater, which I already told her I was planning on wearing. We were about to leave and she was looking at her self in the mirror with a funked expression, and she says, “I dunno about my cardigan..How’s it look?” Right then and there I decided to share the magic of the sweater. “Let’s trade!” We did and she was elated and found her party groove right there. Even though I am waaay bigger then she is, the cardy somehow still fit alright and I actually really liked it too! It was green and so festive. The magic of the sweater prevailed.

11. My spanx

Ok, this is kind of a cheesy one, but seriously, they are like my life support. I was introduced to these a few years ago from my mother, and have loved them ever since. They sell in pale tan, medium tan and black. They are all hand made and it takes 7 hours to finish one pair. Presently, so the clerk at the store told me, the medium tan chest to thigh version that I wear is unavailable for order by the store as the people who make them literally can’t fast enough for the demand. Way to go Spanx ladies!

12. My movies

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, movies. I love watching movies, and I am a big fan of repeater movies: watching them over and over again. My favorites are girly comedies that you can pop in and watch anytime, that you don’t have to pay too much attention to and they still lose none of their awesomeness. Movies to clean you room, or get ready for a night out to, like Clueless or The Sweetest Thing. I also like to watch series movies, like two weekends ago while doing a serious all-weekend room clean, I watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. <3. I also have a problem where I love to quote movies word for word. So I’ll be watching and all of a sudden feel this overwhelming need to say the lines along with the movie. This can be extremely annoying for other people, so I try to only do it when watching alone. Lol, weird habit #1.

13. My bed time kit

I have a nighttime ritual apart from the regular ‘in the bathroom’ stuff. I take my little basket down and do my thang. Here are it’s contents:
Dental floss (every night ladies for healthy chompers and good breath!)
Vaseline (keeps my lips from drying out, especially in the winter)
Clinique Moisturizer (for after showers and before makeup application, keeping those cheekers soft as a babies bottom)
Contact case, glasses, contact solution
Prescription crรจme for my wrinkle eye. (Seriously one of my eyes has a ton of weird wrinkles under it.)
Tricyclen (controlling the babies)

And various other items I do not use every night but are good to have, pumice stone, dental floss threads, eyebrow tweezers, a condamn (spelled wrong purposefully), etc, etc.

14. My makeup kit

I have used a lot of expensive mascaras and $8 Covergirl Last Blast mascara is my new favorite one. I will use my MAC eye powder and creme pots until i die (which is about when they'll run out, they just last forever). I love my Lancome dark purple kit and my Sheer cover creme black eyeshadow. GOSH and Urban Decay eyeliners. Yves Rocher foundation. In summer, Maybelline minerals bronzer.

15. My collection of unicorns

Inherited from my sister Erica. The only one I've got on my own is the pink pony, who's hair I chopped off so she'd have a rock and roll mohawk happening.

16. My laptop

Yeah, that is Jacob.

17. My VCR and DVD “combo”

Never will get rid of my VCR! I tape tv shows on it all the time, and my dad does on his as well.

18. My stuff bins

I'm a big fan of organization, so I infact have many baskets and such around my room. These however are my favorite. Made with recycled newspapers from China!

19. My floor

My dad and grandfather finished this whole room and made the floor. I've never seen anything like it and people new to visit always comment. It is something I take for granted since I see it everyday and have my whole life, but it is actually really cool.

20. My kitties.

Cali and Liam. I thought this was the cutest thing I've ever seen, like Liam laying his head on Cali in love. Two minutes later all we hear is Mmmmmmmrrraaar. Go back into the room to find Liam getting his freak on with Cali :/

I probably should have put my cell phone or my ipod in this as well. But they never even crossed my mind until now. That is a good thing, I think.
PHEW! this literally took me two days to finish. It was really fun tho; now post you're favorite things!

isnt sunday supposed to be a lazy day?

Nothing like a good ass-kicking to kick your ass! Just got back from Body Pump class at the smythe st GoodLife Fitness centre. Woooow. Talk about a full body workout. So awesome! The class targets specific muscle groups by doing a set of intense exercises in each area....and then you die. :| Really nice, funny instructor as well. Will definitaly be going again, ladies if anyone wants to join in.

Other than that I had a good morning sitting around chatting with my mom and eating a delicious lunch of macaroni casserole, while dad re-did the christmas lights outside that I put up last weekend. Apparently I did not do a good enough job...*eye roll*

Presently I am watching "Alice", a real-life ShowCase sequel to the story Alice in Wonderland. It's quite well done for a tv special, and there is a very good looking british accented actor in it playing the "Mad Hatter"....CRUSH!!!!

Now, I'm going to put up our extra-large christmas tree in the living room, my tiny christmas tree in my room and get ready to take my extra-tiny christmas tree to set on my desk at work. Yay for Christmas cheer!

these are the days of our lives

Conclusion of the day: awkward work situations make you work that much harder on actual work! i got so much done today. Poor hot txt msging victim...i basically hid from him all day while he chain smoked like there was no tomorrow (he was trying to quit)... oooo fuck haha. I have training in Fredericton tomorrow to look forward too, avoid the awkwardness for another day. Chiaaa!

Halloween: I cannot wait! Little Red will strike again

Baaaah new peak season is on tonight. Looove it. It is a good show, so realistic it's refreshing. Can't wait to hit the hills with one ms. martin and wear our ballin matching FLORESCENT hats. Too bad there are, so far, no hot guys in this tv show. Unlike the Hills aka Broody and clean-shaven Justin Bobby. I wish I had grown up snowboarding so I would be pro at 21.

Bought NM tickets for the first showing. Me and T-Mowatt. Dont hate!

Apparently the stereos and midway station are coming to the playhouse..I will also be there.

Oh, can't forget this. You have to read it yourself or else it just doesn't have the same punch (this was to my Friend, Friday night/sat morning. Just for clarification, this was a fb msg, NOT the txt msg guy)

well i did see you tonight and you were making out with some random chick. way to go big man on campus. uh, i fell oiver how embarrassing but is \ts ok cuz i love you like a brother,;....anywhioe i didnt n=\get kickede out and danced the night away wuitrh some one named peter snow until i had came home with my friend and ditched him!@!!!!!m \\ girlsrock. umm im\ve got the spins love you ty

Gobble gobble and other such things

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope all had excellent family time and are now caring for turkey, stuffing, gravy and vegetable food babies. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
And away we go...

Me making dinner actually turned out well, I think. Thank goodness I had my cooking guru 'GPS' standing beside me the whole time giving me helpful directions. (Warning: vegetarians look away.) Did anybody else know that when you buy a frozen turkey there is stuff INSIDE? YES, THERE IS, AND IT'S GROSS. They cut the neck and tail off and shove them in there, and there is also a bag full of 'giblets' aka the heart and kidneys ? I did not know this, and what a rude surprise if i had stuffed the bird with those things still in it! There should be a caution sticker. Otherwise all went well, turkey, stuffing, gravy, potatoes, carrots, peas, turnip, parsnip, hot rolls, apple pie and Germain chocolate cake with ice cream. Baaaaaallin'. Except of course I ate too much and had to lay down on the living room couch for about an hour before I could move again.

I'm going through this phase where I am obsessing about my things being organized. I guess it's not really a phase cuz I've always enjoyed organizing, but now that I don't have school work to occupy my evenings and weekends, I have more time to plan and conquer. I'm really excited about IBChi Frenchy's coming up because it gave me a great excuse to clean out my drawers and closet. But I still have to much stuff, I hate clutter! My books, DVD's, and various hygiene products are taking over my personal space. Gaaah. Give me ideas people.

Excuse me I need a break from this and the bring it on marathon on Much to eat some leftovers.

Oh yum I am full and now catching up on missed Hills episodes. When did Justin Bobby get so hot? First he shaves the hobo beard and then quotes one of my favorite songs? I don't understand!!

The plan for this week is to: go shopping; buy multiple rubbermaid containers to store bedroom shit in; decorate for halloween; get an oversized touque for the cold months; find another good book to read. Phew, I'm sooooo busy. So, how's school everyone? Baaha.

Concerned Children's Advertisers

Okay, we all remember these from when we were younger. They are the 1 min commercials that teach you a life lesson. I just watched "We are girls, we will do what's right for us." and was inspired! I wish these were on TV nowadays more often. I've included some links to a few favorites, I think you'll all be pleasantly surprised by the reminiscence. And who knows, maybe you'll learn a thing or two ;)

PS: Did anyone else think the house hippo one was real?

Mono recuperation continues...

I AM A MONO MACHINE! Have you ever had mono before? I think I am a weird case. I am not even sickly, since my tonsil infection has been cleared up. I just all of a sudden will start sweating like crazy and get so overheated and tired. IT'S AWFUL! I hate sweat.

Guess who is going on a trip to visit her sister in California? Oh, I can't put anything past you. 2 weeks in sunny California with my two favorite gals E and B. Cannot wait to bust around San Fran and hit up any and all bars! (21 motha fucka) Anyone know anywhere good to go there? I cannot wait.

Meaghan Waller, the 19 year old from winnipeg and MY pick to win has officially WON CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. She busts down the runway in this jaw dropping pink bejeweled corset and giant dolly parton curly hair designed by the blonds..it was phenomenal. Yeah M! I'm jealous of your sweet eye glasses and runway outfits.

I miss the past two weeks. Luv u b.

My 21st Birthday day

BIRTHDAY madness! Or, less madness actually, saving all madness for this Friday...I do feel older, 21 is kind of a milestone - allowed to drink in the USA anyways. Age is a strange thing.

I got 3 lovely cards today from some of the gang and fam, a jumble of txt msgs, a few calls, numerous facebook wallposts and a happy happy birthday email from my dad hidden inside a forward about sand castles :) He's often cute like that. Thanks all!

Canada's Next Top Model thoughts:

I like Meagan even though she's kind of a bitch, I think it's funny. I would be happy if she won, but Nikita probably will because she looks weird. Feel free to post your opinions --

Recommended:
William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
starring Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio
The script is actually Shakespeares' original work and it makes the story so great. It also doesn't hurt that Leo is EFFING gorgeous. It feels almost like he is in love with you...or that just might be me really hoping....
